Welcome! Phi Beta Psi is a civic sorority that was founded in 1904 in Columbus, Ohio. We are nation wide today and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Cancer Research. The money is raised by women across the country through small fundraisers such as card parties, direct sales fundraisers, corn hole tournaments, golf scrambles and candy & cookies sales. The organization is 100% volunteer!
Cancer Research physicians submit grant applications which are reviewed by a volunteer board of doctors, who recommend applicants to the Phi Beta Psi board of directors who then take it to the National membership at our annual convention. In 2008 we raised over $350,000 to donate to Cancer Research. Impressive!
We've started this blog to help enhance our purpose here in New Albany, Indiana. We have some great events coming this year including our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Scramble at Hidden Creek Golf Course on June 12, 2010 and our 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament. Donations are accepted year round - they can be sent to P.O. Box 1921 New Albany, IN 47151-1921 - checks can be made to Phi Beta Psi - TAE.
